Consignment Policy
Clothing is accepted by appointment only.  All items must be in excellent condition and of current style - generally no more than 3 years old.  Clothing is accepted seasonally.  Spring in March and April, Summer in May thru July, Fall in mid Aug and Sept., Winter from Oct. thru Jan.  Limit of 20 items per appt.  BEFORE COMING IN, all clothing must be on hangers.  Also BEFORE COMING IN, a duplicate list must be prepared with a description, color and size of each item.  Pricing is done by Encore.  Clothing is kept for 2 months total.  After the first month, clothing is marked to half price.   After the second month, it is up to you to pick up any unsold items, or they will become property of Encore.  Furs, fine jewelry, and designer handbags are not reduced to half price.

Home furnishings are also accepted by appointment only.  Everything must be in excellent condition and clean when it arrives at the shop.  Large furniture items must be seen before arriving.  Photos and dimensions can be dropped off, mailed, or emailed.  If the items are local to Bernardsville, an appointment to have them viewed at their location may be possible.  Pricing is done by Encore.  If you have any available information, such as original cost, age or current value, it could be helpful.  If you don't, we will do the research to determine the value.  Furnishings are kept for 4 months.  They are marked down 10% a month, to a total of 30% off.  After the fourth month, they must be picked up or become property of Encore.

For all items, there is a $10.00 yearly fee for maintaining an account.

Your commission on all sales is 50% on the first $300 and 60% on the balance over $300, per item.
